Im glad that I found out about this great dictionary. Its very easy and simple to use and its very complete, as it gives you translations from German to more than a dozen other languages, plus verb conjugations and different noun forms. If youre looking for something extra in a dictionary, this is the way to go.
This app is very useful for when you need to look up plural spellings, how to pronounce, and the articles for all of the cases. It is very good for people who are learning German as a foreign language. The only downside is that the app is pretty slow, slow enough to knock off a star.
I find it very useful, because, first of all, it gives u the article, that u cant do anything right in German. So, toll!
As a foreigner, Ive tried many german dictionary app before. So far, I can say that this is the best and complete one to really explain what a specific word means. Its just, the interface is too outdated! and doesnt fit new phones screen size; which is annoying. Im desperately waiting for the new sassy update – simply cause a good app needs a good layout and always update, update! :)
Im Italian and I use this dictionary to study German, Im a beginner but its very useful and easy to use, its great!
Some bad moments
The information provided is great but it is TERRIBLY SLOW. On iPhone 4S some word definitions take up to 13 seconds, yes 13, to show up!! this is practically useless.
It seems that the delay is proportional to the alphabetical position of the word in their index (e.g., arbeiten is much faster than urlaub). But why?! Is it done by real developers? Lookup speed should not be an issue on such a device over such a simple data structure. 8-/
How can I have my money back?
The little you can do looks promising but you cant even access the settings without a broken(!) inApp purchase popping up.

As with Steam Heavys Wörterbuch, this is based on the Wiktionary definitions, but this one wont crash in iOS 5. Its a great source for conjugation information, and contains many words that you wont find in most other dictionaries. On the downside, it requires a WiFi connection to work. Definitely worth the download in spite of this occasional inconvenience.

Use it on the plane offline. Der Hammer! Only lacks audio for pronunciation but not essential for German. Like that it has a couple phrases to illustrate!
